Routine: Dogs, their handlers, and the children will meet once a month for one hour at the Russell Memorial Library. At the start of each meeting we will review the guidelines for good manners around our dog friends, the children will have time to introduce themselves to the dogs, and together they will sit and read for 20-40 minutes.

Children may bring books from home, check them out from the library, or choose from our cart of favorites. If choosing library books, please allow time to check them out prior to the start of the program.

Ten minutes before 4:00 is “social time” and parents and siblings are invited in to visit. Once the session begins, we ask that parents and caregivers remain in the library but not in the Paws to Read room.

The library will provide a safe and friendly environment for all. We hope you will join us!
